Founder, Chairman and CEO
After a career with Olivetti selling Visible Record Computers
to law firms, Jim recognised the profession needed better
tools to manage their businesses. In 1978 he founded Pilgrim
and has devoted his energies to the company ever since. A
keen golfer and football supporter (he was a director of Aberdeen
FC for some years) Jim is responsible for Pilgrim's culture,
innovative thinking and 'client is king' approach to business.
Mike
Wallace
Development Director and CTO
Mike joined Pilgrim in 1994 and was the chief architect of
LawSoft®. This was the first U.K. legal PMS written from
the ground up to run in a native MS SQL Server environment.
Mike has remained Pilgrim's main visionary ever since and
as C.T.O. Mike is responsible for identifying new technologies
and how these can be incorporated within LawSoft® to drive
business benefits for our clients. Mike is a keen golfer and
watcher of most sports.
Robin
Boyle
Operations Director
As Operations Director Robin is responsible for all aspects
of the implementation and support of Pilgrim's solutions.
Robin has worked with law firms for over fifteen years and
has a detailed knowledge of how their businesses need to run.
Outside of Pilgrim, Robin is a keen cross-country runner and
accomplished skier.
David Thorpe
Sales and Marketing Director
David joined the board of Pilgrim early in 2006 following
nearly thirteen years as the European General Manager of Elite.
In a career of twenty-six years in legal IT, David has worked
with hundreds of practices across the U.K. and Continental
Europe and brings that experience to Pilgrim and its clients.
A self confessed geek, in his spare time David "messes
with (messes up) computers" and is a keen digital photographer.
Colin
Kennedy
Director of Case, Matter & Workflow Division
Colin joined the board in October 2007 after 10 years at Visualfiles,
initially as Managing Director of the Scottish operation and
laterally C.O.O. of the entire LexisNexis Visualfiles group.
Via his 12 years of involvement in legal IT, Colin has an
extensive knowledge of the case & matter management arena
both in terms of what clients want and how best to deliver
solutions. Colin has a young family that absorb most of his
free time but when able he likes to keep fit, play golf and
watch rugby.
