London firm Underwood & Co has selected LawSoft from Pilgrim Systems as its next generation Practice Management System.
Having decided to migrate from its existing Axxia system, the firm embarked on a thorough review of the legal IT marketplace. It engaged a third party consultant to assist in this process and after assessing the capabilities of many specialist suppliers, the firm opted for Pilgrim. The firm has also opted to retire its Docs Open system to get the benefits of LawSoft’s fully integrated Document Management capability.
The firm’s Managing Partner Peter Hughes stated, “LawSoft is a massive product. I hadn’t appreciated that a product of LawSoft’s breadth and depth existed prior to looking for a replacement system. The integrated nature of the product means we will have one solution that supports our financial management needs, the management of our documents, our risk management, and increasingly importantly our business generation activities.”
Jim Cummings (Pilgrim CEO) said, “Peter Hughes and his team at Underwood represent the forward thinking, confident type of firm that we are currently dealing with. Investing in LawSoft now will ensure the firm is well positioned to maximise the return on its existing case work and help to place the firm in a favourable position to exploit the economic upswing that will take place in due course.”
